MEET OUR COACHES
Olympic Certified Archery Coach Chris Dorow offers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that fosters focus, increased self-confidence, and team building skills. As archers develop, proper shooting form and more advanced techniques will be taught. Open to ages 8 and up.
Coach Chris has been teaching Archery for the past 15 years, and is the Colorado Representative for Eastons Olympic Archery in the School Program. Coach Chris is also part of five local JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) clubs and is a certified Shooting Sports Leader in Douglas County 4-H. He has 4 children all participating in shooting sports activities and his son is a four time JOAD State Champion.
Certified USA Archery Coach James “Jim” Martin offers shooters of virtually all ages and physical ability the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that fosters focus, increased self-confidence, and team building skills. As a Certified USA Archery Coach Instructor, Jim also offers experienced shooters and aspiring coaches the education and practical training needed to pass USA Archery’s exam series to become certified coaches themselves.
A lifelong hunter and competitive shooter, Coach Jim draws upon his experiences in 4-H, Boy Scouts, Explorers, and the United States Army to teach shooting skills as well as mental focus and discipline strategies that are often as useful off the range as they are in archery competitions. Coach Jim is also part of several local JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) clubs as well as being a voting member of several Colorado-based archery organizations.
